QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY 2013 #2

Some of the kids helping Alistair with a song in the concert

Here are a few shots of the final morning. Jobs are being finished and tidying done.

Cleaning up under the chestnut trees
The tools of the trade

Some Settlers and residents starting to relax and look at the enormous amount of work achieved.

Watering of one of the 500 plus trees planted over the weekend.
Since then the rain has come and given them a very good soak.

Here’s one I planted earlier!

A 10 to 12 year old Kauri planted at the bottom of the far valley

A welcome break

A new section of the far valley planted

We were lucky to have many “mountain goats” willing to climb the hillside, which still has some slash from the pine forest on the ground, and therefore not easy work.

HUGE THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED!!
