Is it possible today to reconcile the emphasis on individual experience with the need for a sense of common purpose and unity or does individualism reign supreme so that Quakerism can be “everything to everybody” ? (Ben Pink Dandelion, Swarthmore Lecture, 2014).

How can we move from understandings derived from our own “inner light”, to listening for each other’s truth and communicating in ways that enable each individual’s interpretation of direct experience of ‘God’s truth/will’ to be shared and tested?

This seminar will explore these questions and offer some practical ideas and methods.
